BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for production. Brian Crower, Inc. passes the cost savings on to the end-user by grinding cores in high volume. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with 0.01-micron resolution. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
