BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. can pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measuring gauges. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at 0.01-micron resolution. This model measures camshafts for profile error and chatter mark detection, capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
