BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower gains before being released for production. Brian Crower, Inc. passes the cost savings on to the end user by grinding cores in high volume. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measurement gauges. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, providing 0.01-micron resolution and capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—that’s 3,600 data points per revolution. This model, which measures camshafts for profile errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
