BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volumes, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user, providing quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measurement gauges. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing data points every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection and is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
