BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower gains before going into mass production. Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user by grinding large volumes of cores—quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed gauging. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with 0.01-micron resolution. This model measures camshafts for lift errors and chatter marks and is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
