TRED has released two new mounting adapters that allow for either side or flat mounting when used with the TPMK mounting plate. The TRED mounting adapters are made from the same glass-reinforced nylon used in the popular ARB TRED PRO recovery boards, with a higher concentration of glass for increased strength. This material is lightweight yet highly flexible, keeping your TRED recovery boards within easy reach without obstructing the cargo storage space on your vehicle's roof rack. The TRED mounting adapter system also includes all-weather resistant stainless steel hardware. The TRED flat mounting adapter was developed for use with the TRED mounting base plate (part number TPMK) to attach TRED recovery boards to 1-inch (approx. 25.4mm) diameter crossbar support tubes under mesh roof racks. If the roof rack does not have mesh, additional reinforcement may be required to prevent twisting, and the included hardware may need to be shortened for a cleaner finish.
