The updated ARB Premium Recovery Kit features a durable PVC outer shell and modern styling. The 600gsm PVC shell provides a rugged surface that prevents the bag and its contents from getting wet during recovery, and is easy to clean. As an additional improvement, the inside of the bag is equipped with labeled compartments to organize and hold essential vehicle recovery gear, allowing for quick access when needed. It also features a #10 SBS zippered top opening and improved carry handles.
Multiple labeled compartments provide dedicated storage space for the included snatch strap, tree trunk protector, winch extension strap, shackles, gloves, snatch block, and recovery damper.
The kit includes the highly rated ARB 17,600 lb (approx. 7,983 kg) vehicle snatch strap (ARB705LB). Winner of numerous recovery strap tests in Australia and around the world, the ARB snatch strap features a 20% tested stretch to reduce impact on vehicle components and assist with recovery.
The ARB Premium Recovery Kit (RK9A) also includes the highly regarded competition snatch block (10100020), which is used by elite drivers in the world's toughest races and competitions, as well as for military applications in many countries.
When selecting a vehicle recovery strap (snatch strap), it is recommended that the minimum breaking strength of the strap be between 2 and 3 times the gross vehicle mass (GVM) of the vehicle being used, and that the strap be suited to the GVM of the lighter of the two vehicles involved in the recovery. The 17,600 lb (approx. 7,983 kg) strap is suitable for vehicles with a GVM range of 5,800 lbs (approx. 2,630 kg) to 8,800 lbs (approx. 3,991 kg), which covers many 4WD vehicles.
