Old Man Emu brings racing technology to your everyday adventures: BP-51 (51mm bore bypass) shock absorbers feature innovative, patent-pending technology to deliver exceptional on-road and off-road performance. Developed and thoroughly tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are designed for bolt-on installation without the need for vehicle modifications. They provide a balance of excellent ride comfort for daily driving and superior chassis control and handling for off-road use, thanks to extensive end-stage damping. Damping performance is easily adjustable over a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes in vehicle ride and custom tuning to suit specific conditions or vehicle setups. The shock body, reservoir, and components are manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized finish, ensuring superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. These units are entirely designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team, and all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, ARB has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery to maintain total control over the manufacturing process and ensure the highest quality.
