The advantage of the Air Locker lies in its pneumatically operated locking system within the differential. Once engaged, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating and stops the axle shafts from spinning independently of each other. With both wheels directly linked to the rotation of the ring gear, maximum traction is maintained at all times. When unlocked, it operates just like a normal open differential.
