Upgrade your off-road lighting with the Baja Designs XL40 (D/C) LED Headlight Kit, designed for the Yamaha WR250F and WR450F. Inspired by the performance of the XL80, the XL40 delivers a proven 5,224 lumens of brightness for a wide range of bikes. Engineered for off-road motorcycles equipped with lower-output stock stators, it consumes only 43.5W, providing a powerful upgrade without significant power draw.
Paired with our signature XL Trail lens, the XL40 produces a vertical and horizontal beam pattern with excellent near-field and peripheral visibility. The Trail lens redistributes center beam intensity to eliminate harsh hot spots, improving visibility for vertical elevation changes and cornering. The result is a smooth, evenly distributed light field that provides confidence on the most challenging terrain.
This is a direct replacement that fits into the Yamaha WR headlight shell for an easy plug-and-play installation.

Our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether the product is compatible with Japanese domestic vehicles (JDM) before placing your order. (If you are unsure if the listed product fits your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will be happy to look it up for you.)
If you order without verifying fitment, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if items are sorted by selecting the year, make, and model on our homepage, it does not guarantee that the product will fit Japanese models without modification.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there may occasionally be a significant difference between the automatic shipping calculation and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international delivery takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow ample time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us to verify delivery times in advance. All items are shipped via air freight; we do not use sea freight.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
Essentially, all products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with "Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) standards," and we cannot provide structural strength documentation for these requirements. Therefore, all parts are sold for use on "circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation/use is at the customer's own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please inspect the contents immediately upon delivery. As all products are shipped internationally, there may be instances of shipping damage to packaging or the products themselves. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacements for shipping-damaged items, defective products, or incorrect items if you notify us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
