BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to ensure accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end-user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measurement gauges. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses separate measurement heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, providing 0.01-micron resolution, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution. Measuring camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, this model can measure 200 parts per hour.
