Developed and extensively tested under Australia's harshest conditions, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are designed to be a bolt-on fitment without the need for vehicle modification. They combine a comfortable ride for daily commuting with excellent chassis control and sufficient end-zone damping for superior handling off-road. Damping performance can be easily adjusted across a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes to the vehicle's ride quality and custom tuning to suit specific conditions and vehicle setups. The bodies, reservoirs, and components are all manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized coating to ensure superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. Designed, developed, and tested in-house by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, every BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured by ARB. To achieve this, extensive investment in state-of-the-art machinery has been made, allowing ARB to maintain complete control over the manufacturing process to ensure the highest level of quality.
