Upgrade your off-road lighting with the Baja Designs XL40 LED Headlight Kit, specifically designed for 2021-2024 Yamaha YZ250FX and YZ450FX models. Inheriting the performance of the XL80, the XL40 delivers 5,224 lumens of trail-proven brightness to a wider range of bikes. Engineered for dirt bikes equipped with low-output OEM stators, it draws only 43.5W, providing a powerful upgrade without a heavy electrical load.
Paired with our proprietary XL trail lens, the XL40 achieves a vertical and horizontal beam pattern, offering excellent visibility for both near-field and peripheral vision. The trail lens redistributes central beam intensity, eliminating harsh hotspots, and improving visibility for vertical changes, steep elevation shifts, and tight corners. The result is a smooth, even field of light that provides confidence on even the most demanding terrain.
This XL40 comes pre-installed in a new Genuine Yamaha 2019-2024 compatible headlight shell, and includes a wiring harness and switch for a simple, plug-and-play installation.

Our entire product database is based on North American specification vehicles (USDM). Please confirm whether the product can be installed on your Japanese specification vehicle (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us; our support team will be happy to look it up for you.)
If you order without verifying compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if items are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and model using the tabs on our homepage, it does not necessarily guarantee that the item will fit your Japanese model vehicle without modification.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping cost estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your delivery address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may occasionally differ significantly from the automated calculation. In such cases, we will contact you via email individually.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping within Japan, international delivery usually takes 7 to 14 days, so please allow ample time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to verify delivery times. All items are transported by air; sea freight is not used.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) Compatibility
The products we carry are generally designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with "Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) standards," and we are unable to provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the purpose of such inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for "circuit, private property, and off-road use only," and their installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranties
Please check the contents of your order as soon as it arrives. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be instances of shipping damage to the packaging or the product itself. We will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement products if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Please note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not coordinate with other companies or agencies located within Japan for warranty support.
