Mustang EcoBoost 2.3 Turbo MLS Head Gasket
BC gaskets are made in Japan and offer ultimate sealing capabilities under extreme boost pressures. Compared to other leading gaskets, they feature individual die-cut layers of stainless steel with superior consistency. Those inferior brands are prone to fatigue due to oversized bead profiles, losing their spring effect and sealing pressure consistency in a relatively short period, which leads to leaks. BC gaskets are made of stainless steel, pre-coated with a uniform 0.2-micron layer of nitrile rubber that perfectly fills the cylinder head surface. Even on freshly resurfaced cylinder heads or blocks, where surface finish or roughness is 10 to 15 microns, this nitrile rubber perfectly seals the surface at engine operating temperatures, unlike FKM types where the material is not suitable for filling surface roughness. The heat resistance is too high; essentially, FKM will not melt to fill surface roughness and provide an adequate seal.
