Manufactured to the same uncompromising standards as the bumpers, ARB tire carriers feature a heavy-duty, fully equipped towing system that allows for the mounting of one or two tires, or a jerry can holder, depending on the vehicle. There are many advantages to mounting a tire carrier to your vehicle. Many 4x4 vehicles have the spare tire mounted underneath, which makes it difficult to access and prone to damage in harsh off-road environments. In some vehicles, the spare tire is mounted on the back door, which puts a strain on the door hinges, leading to rattling, reduced dust sealing, and increased wear on the door assembly. Neither of these mounting methods may be suitable if you wish to use larger tires. ARB tire carriers solve all of these problems by relocating the spare tire to the bumper assembly with a swing-out carrier.

Operating the swing-out carrier is very simple. A slight amount of pressure on the lever opens the carrier, and a gas strut assists with opening and closing. The strut holds the carrier in the open position, and a pin is used only when the vehicle is at an extreme angle to prevent the locking pin from being forgotten. The carrier is closed by simply pushing it back with a firm motion, which automatically releases the spring-loaded locking pin.
