Due to the nature of the Subaru split-block boxer engine design, where the two halves of the engine are fastened around the crankshaft, distortion or misalignment can occur even in new engine blocks. This distortion can cause uneven main bearing wear, and in some cases, bearing failure due to insufficient lubrication or overloading of the bearing surface material. Mainline bore distortion can occur even in new blocks assembled with high-strength case fasteners, which is common in racing and high-performance engine building.
When the EJ engine requires repairs to resolve mainline bore distortion issues, the associated labor is tedious and therefore can be very expensive. To allow for the use of standard outside-diameter bearings, a machinist must remove material from both sides of the split block mating surfaces and then bore or hone the housing to standard inside-diameter measurements. This process also requires extremely high precision, and it can cause changes in the distance from the crankshaft centerline to the deck surface, which must be compensated for.

○Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. In principle, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow plenty of time for your order. ○Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
All products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not comply with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection System," and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar paperwork for the purpose of Japanese inspections. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.

Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, packaging boxes and the products themselves may sustain shipping damage.
