Intercooler Core - The most important part of an intercooler system is the core. The core cools the charge air on its way to the engine. Subaru's factory tube and fin intercooler is designed for ease of manufacturing but does not perform well.
Testing shows the optimal core design is a 3/8" bar and plate style with 3/8" charge air and ambient air paths, rather than the common 1/4" size. PERRIN's bar and plate core design is much more durable than tube and fin and can withstand rocks and other debris that may enter the scoop. The PERRIN intercooler core is 28" long x 9.25" tall x 3.5" deep, for a volume of 906.5 cu-in. The PERRIN intercooler achieves the optimal overall design in terms of cooling and pressure drop.
Intercooler Support Beam - Our intercooler support beam is made of boxed steel with a black powder coat finish. Competitors use cheaper aluminum bumper beams, which saves a little weight but destroys easily in a collision.
Finish - All PERRIN intercoolers are powder coated to provide extra protection from the elements and keep them looking great for years. Our intercoolers come in two finish options: Bright Silver or Stealth Black powder coat.
Cast End Tanks - PERRIN-designed end tanks control the near-perfect distribution of hot air across the entire intercooler core. By removing 90-degree corners and adding a smooth, gradual taper from top to bottom, turbulence is eliminated. Each end tank incorporates innovative mounting tabs to secure the core to the support beam.
Pressure Tested - PERRIN is one of the only intercooler manufacturers to pressure test every single intercooler. We pressurize every intercooler to 50 psi in our special jig. This ensures there will be no leaks in the core. Even the slightest leak can reduce vehicle power and literally let turbo boost pressure leak out of the intercooler.
Logo - Front Mount Intercoolers come with a free PERRIN logo intercooler stencil. The stencil allows you to easily paint the PERRIN logo on the front of your intercooler. Simply peel, stick, paint, and peel off.

○ Regarding Shipping
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are automatically calculated when you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. Basically, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please order with sufficient time. If you are in a hurry, please contact us to check delivery times in advance. Note that all products are transported by air. They will not be shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Japanese Vehicle Inspection Compliance
All products we handle are basically designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not comply with "Japanese vehicle inspection standards" at all, and we cannot provide strength calculation documents or similar for those standards. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and installation and use are at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packing boxes or products. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement exchanges if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding products with shipping damage, defective products, or items different from your order. Note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be provided "only through us." Please understand that we do not provide support through other companies or agents located within Japan.
