Old Man Emu brings racing technology to everyday adventures: BP-51 (bypass 51mm bore) shock absorbers feature innovative, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on- and off-road performance. Developed and extensively tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are designed for direct installation without vehicle modifications, combining comfortable city driving with exceptional chassis control and handling for off-road use, thanks to ample end-zone damping. Damping performance is easily adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes to ride quality and custom settings tailored to specific conditions or setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum with a Type 3 40-micron hard-anodized finish, providing excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. BP-51 shock absorbers are designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team and are manufactured entirely in-house at ARB's production facilities. To achieve this, significant investments have been made in state-of-the-art machinery, allowing ARB to maintain complete control over the manufacturing process and ensure the highest level of quality.
