Newly developed based on the classic ARB Wrangler JK Stubby Bumper, the ARB Wrangler JL Stubby Bumper is designed for off-roaders who require a winch mounting platform while maximizing clearance for large-diameter tires. Vehicles equipped with tires generally larger than 37 inches (approx. 940mm) may experience interference with the wings of a conventional ARB Deluxe Bumper. The Stubby Bumper resolves this issue for the Jeep Wrangler JL, as it is only slightly wider than the vehicle's chassis. To accommodate recovery situations, each wing section is equipped with jacking points suitable for an ARB Jack or mechanical recovery jack. An antenna tab on the main tube can be used to mount communication antennas or driving lights to the bumper. In the center of each outer wing section is a 0.8-inch (approx. 20mm) thick, 350-grade recovery point that extends through the wing and connects directly to the chassis mount, providing the strongest possible recovery point. The winch platform allows for the installation of most traditional low-mount style Warn winches, as well as competition winches with narrow mounting patterns. A bracket is included for those who wish to mount the control box in the center of the bumper. Two "flip-up" style license plate mounts are provided on the front—one for a roller fairlead and the other for a hawse fairlead. This allows the license plate to be positioned over the fairlead and flipped up out of the way when the winch is in use.
