Many technical improvements reflect specific requests from teams competing in the world's most grueling 4x4 events and are the result of field testing in these races. This Air Locker is a product for top-class racers and hardcore enthusiasts who demand the best equipment. Among its many new design features, the integrated ring gear bolt locking system, designed to prevent the loosening of Ford 9-inch Trac-Loc bolts, is particularly noteworthy. The fully reusable locking tabs, which withstand the high torque loads required for bolt removal, allow for disassembly and reassembly for quick pit work during ring gear changes, unlike all other bolt locking systems. A key design element is its ability to counteract the negative effects of axle shaft deflection caused by standard steering joints, thereby overcoming a common problem in front-end applications where the differential is excessively offset to one wheel. Achieving new standards in load-bearing, wear resistance, and impact performance, the RD99CE case is approximately 290% stronger than the standard locker. Featuring deeper locking engagement, the RD99CE maintains its locking function even after the clutch gear teeth have sustained significant damage from locking under throttle.
