BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. All BC camshaft profiles are prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before going into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing 3,600 data points per revolution (one data point every 1/10 of a degree) with 0.01-micron resolution. This model, which measures camshafts for profile errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
