BC performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user, providing quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measuring gauges. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
