Upgrade your off-road lighting with the Baja Designs XL40 LED headlight kit, specifically designed for 2016–2018 Yamaha YZ250FX and YZ450FX models. Inspired by the performance of the XL80, the XL40 provides 5,224 lumens of trail-proven brightness for a wide range of vehicles. Engineered for dirt bikes with low-output stock stators, it draws only 43.5W, allowing for a powerful upgrade without significant electrical load.
Combined with our signature XL trail lens, the XL40 produces a vertical and horizontal beam pattern for superior near-field and peripheral visibility. The trail lens redistributes the intensity of the center light, eliminating sharp hot spots and improving visibility for vertical changes, steep inclines, and tight corners. The result is a smooth, even field of light that provides confidence even in the most demanding terrain.
The XL40 comes pre-installed in a new genuine Yamaha '16–18 headlight shell, and includes a wiring harness and switch for easy plug-and-play installation.

〇 Regarding Import Taxes
At Shaftoya Shopping Site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so you will not be charged any additional fees beyond the total amount paid at checkout.
〇 Checking Fitment
Our entire product database is based on North American specification (USDM) vehicles. Please verify whether the product is compatible with Japanese specification (JDM) vehicles before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us and our support team will be happy to look into it for you.)
If you place an order without confirming fitment, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and model using the tabs on our homepage, it does not necessarily guarantee that they will fit Japanese model vehicles without modification.
All products are translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Delivery
Shipping costs are paid at the time of checkout. Shipping estimates are calculated automatically once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, the actual shipping cost may occasionally differ significantly from the automated calculation. In such cases, we will contact you individually via email.
Generally, all products are shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic Japanese shipping, international delivery takes approximately 7 to 14 days, so please allow ample time when ordering. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm delivery times. Note that all products are transported via air freight; they are not shipped via sea freight.
○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken)
All products we handle are designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they are not compliant with the "Japanese Vehicle Inspection (Shaken) system," and we are unable to provide documents such as strength calculation reports for Japanese inspection purposes. Therefore, all parts are sold for use on "circuits, private land, and off-road" only, and any installation or use is at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents of your order immediately upon arrival. As all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there is a possibility of shipping damage to the packaging or the product itself. Please understand that we will only provide returns, refunds, or replacement products if you contact us within 7 days of receipt regarding items that are damaged during shipping, defective, or incorrect. Please note that for products sold through us, warranty support will be handled "exclusively through us." We do not provide support through other companies or distributors located within Japan.
