BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding high volumes of cores, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user, providing quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measurement gauges. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing 3,600 data points per revolution (one data point every 1/10th of a degree) with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for profile errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
