Developed and thoroughly tested in the harsh conditions of Australia, these large-bore bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs can be installed without vehicle modifications, providing both a comfortable ride for city driving and superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is widely adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes to ride quality and custom tuning based on conditions or vehicle setup. The body, reservoir, and components are all made of 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized coating to ensure excellent heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone chips. Designed, developed, and tested by ARB’s Old Man Emu ride engineering team, BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house at ARB’s own facilities.
