Old Man Emu integrates racing technology into everyday adventures: BP-51 (Bypass 51mm bore) shock absorbers utilize groundbreaking, patent-pending technology to deliver exceptional on- and off-road performance. Developed and thoroughly tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers feature remote reservoirs and offer bolt-on installation without the need for vehicle modifications. They combine a comfortable ride on city streets with powerful end-zone damping for superior chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is fully adjustable for both rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes to the vehicle's ride quality and custom tuning tailored to specific conditions and vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all crafted from 6061 T6 aluminum with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized finish, ensuring superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. All BP-51 shock absorbers are designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team and manufactured in-house at ARB. To achieve this, significant investments have been made in advanced machinery, allowing for complete control over the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality.
