Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for mass production. Every BC cam is checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron accuracy. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, taking one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—at a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
