BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring precision and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower gains before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user, providing quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with high-speed sub-micron precision gauges. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10 of a degree—that's 3,600 data points per revolution—with 0.01-micron resolution. This model measures camshafts for profile error and chatter marks and can measure 200 parts per hour.
