Two-Piece Design: The PERRIN Performance filter features a unique two-piece design that allows the user to remove the foam filter element for easy cleaning. It is easy to perform as you can simply hold the element under a faucet to clean it and wring it out by hand. Just slide the foam sleeve back over the filter frame once cleaned, and it is ready to go.
Open-Cell Foam Element: PERRIN foam filters are made from reticulated polyurethane foam to minimize air restriction. The filter element is sprayed with a special oil that adheres to the foam, giving the poly-matrix a tackiness to retain dirt. The foam filter does not block dirt, but rather traps it. The drop in airflow while filtering is minimal, removing dirt and maintaining airflow levels even when other filters would be clogged.
Clean and Protect: Easily remove months of oil and dirt. Simply spray with this easy-to-use cleaner. Let it sit on the filter element for a while, and then just rinse it off in the sink. Once the filter is dry, just spray it with fresh oil and it is ready to go.
Construction: The pre-filter is constructed with a unique polyester mesh that has uniform micron openings. The mesh is UV-resistant and can withstand heat up to 450 degrees.
