BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, ensuring accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. Every BC camshaft profile is prototyped and dyno-tested to verify horsepower results before being put into mass production. By grinding cores in high volumes, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass cost savings on to the end user, offering quality at an affordable price. All BC cams are checked with sub-micron precision high-speed measurement gauges. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measurement heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing data points every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 points per revolution—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
