The Nissan GT-R R35 is a high-performance vehicle, but its ride height is still designed for street use and for clearing speed bumps without scraping the underbody. Lowering the ride height increases grip and improves handling, but doing so causes the factory-designed kinematics to stop functioning as expected. When kinematics are out of range, mechanical grip decreases, and it also affects aerodynamic grip by reducing the roll, squat, and pitch that the kinematics support.
