Installation Instructions
* Brake line installation should be performed by a professional mechanic. Please read and follow the installation instructions carefully.
Lift the vehicle. Remove the wheels and drain all brake fluid. Carefully remove the existing brake lines from the vehicle, taking care not to let brake fluid splash onto any paintwork. Note the positions of C-clips and banjo bolts (if used). Remove all crush washers from the mating surfaces. The new kit comes with all necessary OEM replacement adapters and banjo bolts.
Clean all sealing surfaces and ensure they are in good condition.
Starting from the caliper, fit these lines following the original path of the OEM lines. Use the new crush washers included in the kit. Ensure all positioning tabs and mounting brackets are properly attached to the mating points on the frame or chassis, and that there is no tension on either end of the connection. Do not fully tighten any bolts or screw ends until the final step of installation.
Verify that the line lengths are correct. Ensure the hoses are not twisted or kinked. The torque lines on the opposite axes should remain parallel along the entire length of the hose. You must check the full range of motion of the suspension and steering to ensure the hoses are not stretched or pinched.
Tighten the banjo bolts and end fittings. When tightening these hoses to factory hard lines, use a wrench of the correct size to hold the hard line in place. Bolts and end fittings should be tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. If not specified, tighten to 12–14 ft-lbs.
You are now ready to bleed the brakes. You must use new DOT-approved brake fluid and bleed the system according to the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
Warning
Before test-driving the vehicle, perform a final check of the lines to ensure all connections are secure and leak-free. The brake pedal should feel firm at this stage. After the first 100 miles, recheck all lines and connections to ensure they are secure and leak-free.
- Mixing rubber hoses and stainless steel replacement lines on the same brake system is not recommended.
- Do not force, twist, or stretch the stainless steel hose assembly, as this may cause failure.

Before Ordering
○ About Import Consumption Tax
At the Shaft-ya shopping site, we pay the import consumption tax incurred at the time of import on your behalf, so there will be no additional charges other than the total amount paid at checkout.
○Confirmation of Compatibility
As our entire product database is based on North American vehicles (USDM), please confirm whether or not they can be installed on Japanese vehicles (JDM) before ordering. (If you are unsure if a listed product is compatible with your vehicle, please feel free to contact us. Our support team will investigate for you.)
If you order without confirming compatibility, we cannot accept returns due to incompatibility.
Please note that even if products are sorted by selecting the year, manufacturer, and vehicle model using the tabs on our top page, this does not necessarily mean they are compatible with Japanese-spec vehicles without modification.
All products have been translated into Japanese using translation software. As there may be confusing expressions, please contact us before ordering if you have any questions.
○ Regarding Delivery
Shipping costs are paid at the time of payment. For shipping cost estimates, they will be automatically calculated once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page. For large items such as body parts, there are rare cases where there is a significant difference between the automatically calculated shipping cost and the actual shipping cost. In such cases, we will contact you individually by email.
All products are generally shipped internationally from our US warehouse. Unlike domestic shipping in Japan, international shipping takes about 7 to 14 days, so please allow plenty of time for your order. If you are in a hurry, please contact us in advance to confirm the delivery date. Note that all products are transported by air. They will not be shipped by sea.
○ Regarding Compliance with Japanese Vehicle Inspections
The products we handle are basically all designed and manufactured outside of Japan. Please note that they do not conform to the "Japanese vehicle inspection system" in any way, and we cannot issue documents such as strength calculation sheets for the Japanese vehicle inspection system. Therefore, all parts are sold for the purpose of "use on circuits, private property, or off-road," and we ask that you install and use them at your own risk.
○ Regarding Warranty
Please check the contents immediately upon arrival. Since all products are shipped internationally from outside Japan, there may be shipping damage to the packaging box or the product. Regarding products with shipping damage, defective products, or products that differ from your order, we will only accept returns, refunds, or exchanges if you contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please understand this. Also, regarding products sold through us, we will handle warranty-related matters "only through us." Please note that we do not handle matters through other companies or distributors located in Japan.
