BC high-performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders, guaranteeing accuracy and tolerances within 0.02 mm. All BC camshaft profiles are prototyped and dyno-tested to prove horsepower results before being released for mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. Quality at an affordable price. Every BC cam is checked on high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measuring system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per revolution—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift error and chatter mark detection, is capable of measuring 200 parts per hour.
