All BC cams are checked with high-speed measuring gauges with sub-micron precision. The Adcole camshaft measurement system uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, capturing one data point every 1/10th of a degree—3,600 data points per rotation—with a resolution of 0.01 microns. This model, which measures camshafts for lift errors and chatter marks, can measure 200 parts per hour.
