BP-51 (Bypass 51mm bore) shock absorbers feature groundbreaking, patent-pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on-road and off-road performance. Developed and thoroughly tested in the harsh Australian environment, these large-bore, position-sensitive bypass shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are designed to be installed without vehicle modifications. They provide a comfortable ride in the city and feature sufficient end-zone damping to achieve exceptional chassis control and handling off-road. Damping performance is easily adjustable over a wide range of rebound and compression, allowing for significant changes to the vehicle's driving performance and custom tuning to suit conditions and vehicle setups. The body, reservoir, and components are all made of 6061 T6 aluminum with a Type 3, 40-micron hard-anodized finish, ensuring superior heat dissipation, corrosion resistance, and protection against stone damage. Not only are they designed, developed, and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineering team, but all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house by ARB. To achieve this, ARB has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery to fully control the manufacturing process and ensure the highest quality.
