The short version is 63mm and the tall version is 73mm, neither of which includes a jam nut. This might not seem like a big difference, but we found that some people strongly prefer one size over the other. For reference, the dimensions of the FK8 shift knob are approximately 50mm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eEach knob comes with two jam nuts that match the original knob. One is a traditional side jam nut with a flat surface for securing with a finishing ring and a 14mm wrench. The other jam nut is a bonus. It will not work with all shift boots. It is possible to remove the factory collar and use our nut as both the shift boot collar and the lock nut. This installation process is a bit unique but easily manageable. We have installed it on several Hondas during the design process.
