Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic, washable air filter for excellent airflow, filtration, and performance. The air filter is placed in the space of the factory air box and is protected by a heat shield designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum with a durable gunmetal gray powder-coat finish. This air intake system is developed to accommodate factory emission control devices, including the mass air flow sensor and PCV hose. The tapered cylindrical AEM Dryflow air filter is made from oil-free synthetic filter media and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required, depending on driving conditions. The air intake system is easy to install with common tools.
