Once the oil is drained from the bottom of the PERRIN Air Oil Separator, clean, oil-free air exits the top and returns to the intake tract.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eThe PERRIN Air Oil Separator features swirl pot technology and multi-layer baffles. This design causes incoming engine blow-by to move rapidly across the baffles, separating the oil from the blow-by. Multiple baffle layers increase the surface area for collecting more oil, resulting in a compact and efficient design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eOil entering from the crankcase vents rotates counter-clockwise through the AOS body, passing along four walls that equate to approximately 50 square inches of surface area. The multiple baffle walls in our compact design simulate the surface area of a 13.5-inch tall AOS.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eThe base plate of the Air Oil Separator is heated by engine coolant. This heats the entire Air Oil Separator to the same temperature as the engine blow-by.
