The only two Toyota vehicles equipped with these engines were the Toyota Cressida and the Toyota Supra. Both engines were highly advanced for their time. The 7M-GE was standard equipment in the Cressida from 1989 to 1992, offering significant power, excellent fuel economy, and proven reliability. The 7M-GTE is simply a turbocharged version of the 7M-GE offered exclusively in the Supra Mk III, making it the most popular engine among tuners. The engines featured a 3.0L 24-valve DOHC twin-cam setup, which provided ample power for both the Cressida and the Supra. The 7M-GTE is an inline-6, or \"straight-6,\" engine.
