Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter, which provides excellent airflow, filtration, and performance. The air filter is placed in the factory air box space and is protected by a heat shield and a new fresh air adapter scoop. This adapter is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum with a durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish. This air intake system was developed to retain the engine's factory emissions control devices, including the air temperature sensor, engine breather tube, and sound tube. The cylindrical, tapered AEM Dryflow air filter is made of oil-free synthetic filter media and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before needing cleaning (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system installs easily with common tools and is backed by AEM's Lifetime Limited Warranty.
