After countless designs and 3D prints, we selected the overall shape based on the most ergonomic design out of every concept we have developed to date.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eThe Maxim shift knob is machined from a solid 6061 aluminum billet round bar on a 4-axis lathe. The surface is then treated with a proprietary sandblasting medium to achieve a perfect surface finish. Next, it undergoes a 3-stage anodizing process. Finally, the fitting size and logo are laser-etched with a YAG laser, which vaporizes the dye from the anodized coating, creating a sharp white logo placed subtly on the knob so as not to ruin the amazing finish.
